Spiel ma halt Bob der Baumeister...

Also, heute wars wieder mal schweinekalt und ich war froh, dass ich im Endeffekt die meiste Zeit im Büro meiner Vorgesetzten (für 2 Tage meines) sitzen konnte, über die Baupläne gebeugt um noch ein paar Details für meinen Versicherungsbericht rauszusuchen, was darin endete, dass auch noch gleich die ganzen Beleuchtungen detailliert aufzählte. Inwieweit sich die Deutschen darüber freuen werden und sich von meinen Beleuchtungslisten erleuchten lassen, weiß ich nicht, vielleicht fühlen sie sich auch ein bisschen verarscht?
Das Ganze sah dann zB so aus:

…so was Ähnliches bekamen sie auch bei der Bezeichnung der Notausgänge hingeschrieben. Naja, Bob der Baumeister bin ich halt doch (noch) nicht – hab ja aber auch keine bautechnische Ausbildung genossen.
Zu Problemen wegen der Urteilsverkündung kam es nicht, weil, wie uns gesagt wurde: So schnell kommen die noch nicht zu einem Urteil, das kann sich noch lange ziehen. Wie die Äthiopier sagen: „Hätte Jesus sein Verfahren in Äthiopien gehabt, würde er heute noch leben“.
Was ich jetzt noch brauch: einen Bananensplit. Allerdings ohne Eis. (Bedeutet: Nutella auf die Banane schmieren :-D ) und damit’s nicht ganz so einseitig ist auch noch Ananas dazuessen. Jetzt schreib ich wieder Blödsinn. Obwohl heut gar keine Sonne war. Dafür hab ich gestern eine leichte Röte im Gesicht erwischt (à werden also die Nachwirkungen sein ;-) )

One of the first actions I set today was to move my things to my bosses office (as she wont be here the next 2 days) where there is a heating (yippieeee!!!). But as she did not leave the password for her PC I had to switch between the 2 offices the whole day…
My tasks today: I went to the administration office to get the construction plans of the Goethe Institute-building, which I need for the insurance-description of the exhibition hall I am about to write…
Something for you, Angi: The Insitute originally was built as a palace for the crown prince Asfaw Wossen Haileselassie. Then it was used for the ministry of justice and finances, for military behalves under the Derg-Regime before it was given to the Addis Abeba University as an administration building and later on to the Goethe Institute. Enough of the excurse…
So I sat there with the construction and architecture plans and studied them, found the listing of lighting of the exhibition hall (in the example they gave me as an orientation they listed the “lux” and some lighting) so – if they are interested – they can study the detailed listing of installed lights in my report to get enlightened (I hope they don’t think I make fun of them – but: no clear instructions – so it’s up to them to find out what’s relevant…).
In the afternoon we went to the printing office – of course its still not ready to be printed so a 3rd date for Wednesday… (nooooooo stress…)On the way back I realized another time how many armed soldiers there are everywhere at governmental buildings and ministries without giving one the feeling to be threatened by them. Maybe it’s the way they stand or sit around(& the sheep grassing nearby them in front of the Menelik Imperial Palace), not seeming very attentive at all, chatting with each other or with civilians (!) in a quite relaxed way. Yes, they told me very often: Ethiopia is not like other African countries…
